Limited Entry Admission

Prior to Submitting a Limited Entry Application

Follow these steps to successfully complete your Limited Entry Application:

  1. Complete a Limited Entry Workshop (Select Tab or Click Here)
  2. Pay the Application Fee 
    A non-refundable $20.00 fee is required for each program you apply to, and proof of payment must be uploaded with your application. 
    (See Application Fee Instructions)
  3. Review Your Program’s Eligibility Requirements and Selection Criteria
    Before starting your application, review your program’s eligibility requirements and selection criteria to identify documents that are required and those that may earn you additional points toward selection. Include all applicable documents with your application.
  4. Substitution Request(s)
    If applicable, a copy of approved request(s) MUST be included with your Limited Entry Application. If a copy is needed, email your full name and NSHE ID number to Tina Golyer at tina.golyer@csn.edu.
  5. Recommendation Letter(s)
    For the Physical Therapist Assistant and Surgical Technology Programs only, submit letters of recommendation on approved form in their respective envelopes to the Limited Entry Office at the West Charleston Campus, Building K, Room 216 by your program’s specified deadline date.
  6. Official Sealed Transcript(s)
    If applicable, submit your official transcript(s) in the original sealed envelope to the Limited Entry Office at the West Charleston Campus, Building K, Room 216, by your program’s specified deadline date. Note: An official transcript is required to verify the grade received when calculating a prerequisite GPA or awarding points for Additional General Education courses if the transferred college course or Advanced Placement (AP) coursework is listed with a grade of P, TP, S, or TS.
  7. Complete the Limited Entry Application
    Fill out the electronic Limited Entry Application, upload all required and/or optional documents as indicated and submit your application by your program’s deadline date. Applications may be submitted through the online portal no more than two months prior to the application deadline date.  Note: In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), applicants who require disability-related accommodations during the application process are encouraged to contact the College’s Disability Resource Center. For assistance, please contact the Disability Resource Center at (702) 651-5644 or drc1@csn.edu. Extension of deadline dates will not be permitted.

You will receive electronic notification via your CSN student email (i.e., NSHE ID#@student.csn.edu) of the selection results within 45 calendar days of the application deadline date.

Before attending or sending a request to complete the Limited Entry Workshop (LEW), you must:

  1. Complete a Health Programs Orientation
  2. Meet with a Health Programs Advisor

If the above steps have been completed, you can choose an option below:

  • Complete the LEW online. Email tina.golyer@csn.edu with your full name, NSHE ID#, and email address as they are listed in MyCSN and indicate you would like to complete the online LEW. Note: It may take up to one week to add the LEW to CANVAS.
  • Attend the LEW in-person. The schedule can be found here: Limited Entry Workshop - Schedule

Note: If you have completed a Limited Entry Workshop in-person or online within two (2) years of the application deadline, you do not have to repeat it.

The application process is now electronic. The Limited Entry Application Portal is available at:

You may schedule a 30-minute virtual appointment with the Limited Entry Coordinator, Tina Golyer, via the WCOnline scheduler to review your application submission and documents for eligibility and/or selection points. Note: Your application must be submitted at least ONE WEEK prior to your scheduled appointment date or the appointment will be canceled.

Prior to meeting with the Limited Entry Coordinator, you must have:

  • Met with a Health Programs Advisor
  • Completed the Limited Entry Workshop with a minimum quiz score of 80%
  • Completed all program minimum requirements
  • Submitted your application in the Limited Entry Application Portal

IMPORTANT: The Limited Entry Coordinator is NOT responsible for determining additional steps required for transfer courses if the official transcript evaluation is incomplete at the time of application review. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Health Programs Advising to verify proper transfer of courses and/or to receive guidance on any necessary additional steps to ensure credit for transfer courses.
