The College of Southern Nevada’s 49th Annual Commencement Ceremony is this Saturday, May 15! We are celebrating the Class of 2021 all week long by getting to know some of our graduates. Meet Nathacha Nucamendi a Las Vegas Native graduating with an associate of arts degree and transferring to UNLV to pursue a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. She worked two full-time jobs, managed remote learning and navigated public transportation during the pandemic to earn her degree. Congratulations Nathacha!

Happy Nevada Day Coyotes! Did you know, Nevada Day—or Admission Day, as it was first known—was declared a judicial holiday in 1891, and a one-time public holiday in 1914 in observance of the 50th anniversary of statehood. The holiday was rechristened "Nevada Day" in 1933 and became a permanent official state holiday in 1939.
