The #CSN Division of Workforce & Economic Development is offering training to become a Community Health Worker (CHW). CHWs are frontline public health workers who provide health and social service support to individuals in the community and build community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as community education, counseling and advocacy. The College of Southern Nevada’s 49th Annual Commencement Ceremony is this Saturday, May 15! We are celebrating the Class of 2021 all week long by getting to know some of our graduates. Meet Nathacha Nucamendi a Las Vegas Native graduating with an associate of arts degree and transferring to UNLV to pursue a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. She worked two full-time jobs, managed remote learning and navigated public transportation during the pandemic to earn her degree. Congratulations Nathacha!

Have you met Dr. Shellie Keller and listened to her inspirational #CSN Story? Dr. Keller joined our CSN family in 1995 as a student and returned in 2005 as a part-time public speaking instructor. She’s now been full-time with CSN since 2006 as a retention specialist for 7 years and director of Centers for Academic Success since 2013.
