The AFE program will assist in preparing students for a multitude of investment and risk management licenses for those seeking to continue in that path. Completion of the AFE track will include an Internship in Financial Economics with interactive participation of financial institutions.

Women's Studies, AA

Gender shapes human consciousness and determines the social, economic, political, and cultural organization of human society throughout history. Students who enter into women's studies will thus be exposed to the historical and contemporary issues of gender. We are committed to providing a setting for students to develop critical thinking and writing skills, the ability to analyze material, the use of abstract thinking, and oral presentations. The Associate of Arts Degree with History emphasis builds a foundation of knowledge as preparation for further academic work in history or related fields. The history faculty has also designed the program to expose students to various historical interpretations and the interplay of world, national, state, and local events. The Political Science program at CSN emphasizes familiarizing students with the basis and functioning of the United States and Nevada governments. Students will also learn about the workings of international relations and the role of the United States in world politics.
