Student counseling, the cashier’s office, financial aid and the registrar’s office are now open Monday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and from Tuesday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This change started Nov. 9th.

Next week, MyCSN will be down for several days starting Thursday for a major makeover. Please make plans for earlier in the week. Please note: Registrar, Financial Aid & Advising will be closed during the outage. The Cashier's Office will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 3.

Registration for Fall Science, Math Classes Unavailable Until June 6th. Due to the conversion of posted grades from our old student information system to MyCSN, registration for Fall 2011 math and science classes is delayed. These classes are blocked until June 6th to prevent any registration so all students have an equal opportunity to enroll after this delay. Please consult with the registrar for more information.

Just a reminder that the payment due date for students who register early for fall 2012 classes is June 1. Payment or payment arrangements must be made by this deadline or your enrollment may be canceled. Registration re-opens for all students on June 4, after which, payment is due on the day of registration. The following steps will help you protect your enrollment from cancellation: Pay your balance due before 11:59 p.m. on June 1; or Sign up for a payment plan online via MyCSN and pay the minimum amount due by 11:59 p.m. on June 1, (or do so in person at a campus cashier’s office during regular business hours).

Today is the deadline to apply for the #CSN Foundation Scholarship Application for 2022-2023 Academic Year! More than 120 scholarship opportunities, totaling over $300,000, are available to CSN students. Did you know that students may apply for multiple scholarships by completing one online application and are automatically matched with scholarships for which they are qualified? Each scholarship has its own specific purpose and eligibility criteria according to the recommendations of the donor. If awarded, students will be notified in May and CSN Financial Aid will work to disperse awards to student accounts in Fall 2022. The RTC is now offering a significantly reduced-price transit pass for CSN students and employees called the Coyote Pass! You can purchase it in any CSN Bookstore, but you must have a CSN photo ID (which students and employees can obtain in any student government office at each of our campuses.)

The Office of Student Financial Services have disbursed the 2nd disbursement of Financial Aid. It has posted and are reflected as awards in the Financial Aid section of MyCSN. It may take some time, however, for this to be reflected in your student account.

The RTC is offering a significantly reduced-price transit pass for all CSN students and employees called the CSN Coyote Pass. This is a temporary pilot project the RTC is conducting with CSN, UNLV and NSC for the current academic year. You can purchase the pass at any CSN Bookstore now. Please note that you must have a CSN employee or student photo ID to purchase and use this pass. Bus drivers will ask you to show your CSN photo ID each time you use it. To get your CSN employee or student ID, go to any ASCSN Student Government office on each campus. If you forget your CSN photo ID and attempt to use the pass, it will be confiscated until such time as you can bring your CSN photo ID to the RTC to pick it up.

The fall 2012 schedule will be available tomorrow and early registration begins on May 1. Please note: The fall 2012 payment due date is June 1: Payment or payment arrangements (whether paying out of pocket or with financial aid) must be made by this deadline or students’ enrollment may be canceled. Registration re-opens for all students on June 4, after which time payment is due at 11:59 p.m. on the day of registration. The use of this “rolling” enrollment cancellation process will help ensure CSN does not shutdown the entire registration system for all NSHE institutions as we did last fall. The following steps will help students protect their enrollment from cancelation: • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form before May 30; • Pay the balance due before 11:59 p.m. on June 1; or • Sign up for a payment plan online via MyCSN and pay the minimum amount due by 11:59 p.m. on June 1, (or do so in person at a campus cashier’s office during regular business hours).

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., @updsouth will be testing all on-campus emergency notification systems across all #CSN campuses, which may include: • SMS text, voice call, and/or e-mail alert. • Posts to campus and/or University Police Services’ Facebook & Twitter pages: @UPDSouth and @CSNCoyote • Desktop computer, public monitors, and VOIP office phone notifications. • CSN MobileSAFETY App push notifications. • An emergency information banner on UPD and/or campus websites. It is important to note that this alert is only a practice drill of the systems and not an actual emergency. In the event of an emergency, these platforms will be used to notify you of the incident and provide information and instructions. In the event of an actual alert, you should seek a safe location and monitor media reports, e-mails, computer monitor screens, and emergency texts. To learn more or to update your contact information, visit updsouth.nevada.edu and select your campus location for further instructions.
