Student Right-to-Know Overview
The Student Right-to-Know Act is a federal law passed in 1990. The law promotes transparency by requiring institutions participating in Title IV federal student financial aid programs to make certain institutional information available to current and prospective students. These disclosures provide important information about student success and institutional accountability, helping students and their families make informed decisions about higher education.
In accordance with federal requirements, the College of Southern Nevada publishes information on student completion and retention rates, financial aid policies, campus safety and security, and intercollegiate athletics. These reports ensure that students, families, and prospective student-athletes have access to information about institutional performance and available opportunities.
