NISOD Excellence Awards

The NISOD Excellence Awards allow member colleges to recognize exceptional faculty, staff, and administrators whose work supports student success. Honoring these individuals reinforces a culture of excellence, encourages professional growth, inspires colleagues, and strengthens teaching and learning across the institution.

Award Overview: Selected employees are provided the opportunity to attend the annual NISOD International Conference and Excellence Awards Dinner and Celebration at the Austin JW Marriott in Texas on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Recipients will walk across the stage to receive a medallion and be recognized for their extraordinary service to student success. Traveling to accept the award is not required of any nominee. The College will ensure that the award and certificate are sent to any recipient who cannot travel to the NISOD International Conference. Travel is contingent upon College funding.

Firm Deadline: Wednesday, January 21, 2026, 5pm

Eligibility:

• Nominations are open to all full and part-time Classified, Academic, and Administrative Faculty who have been employed at CSN for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years
• Nominees must demonstrate innovative practices inside and/or outside the classroom, exemplify strong leadership, and foster a culture of excellence, professional growth, and inspiration
• For consideration, the nomination material must be answered in completion and typed on the nomination form
  • In 250 words, detail how the nominee exemplifies innovative practices inside and/or outside of the classroom
  • In 250 words, detail how the nominee exemplifies excellence in leadership
  • In 250 words, detail how the nominee reinforces a culture of excellence, encourages professional growth and inspires colleagues

Selection Process:
The IRC will review nominations and submit their recommendation to the Office of the President for final selections. Traveling to accept this award is not a requirement. The College will ensure that the award and certificate are sent to any recipient who cannot travel to the NISOD International Conference. Travel is contingent on college funding.
