CSN's Nevada System Partners The CSN Education Department empowers our students and communities to achieve, succeed and prosper. The Education Department at CSN also provides our students with transferrable options to all NSHE colleges and universities in our state. The core courses, degree programs, and certificates in both the Early Childhood Department and Education Department of CSN can be used to meet many, if not all, of the required lower division requirements at our other Nevada System of Higher Education partner schools. The intended candidate for this grant are those currently employed in a school, in either a support staff or substitute teacher role, and also for those who may be considering becoming a licensed substitute teacher in the near future.Those accepted into the program will be provided with the resources listed below, and upon completion of the six month program, will earn their "Highly Qualified Substitute Teacher Certificate" from CSN. The transferrable courses that make up the certificate can also be used to satisfy the Core requirements for an AA degree in Education from CSN, or be used as transfer credits to one of our NSHE partners as the foundation for either a bachelor's degree or education minor.
