The World Languages program assists students with becoming proficient in a foreign language in an effort to prepare them for transfer to a four-year institution. Gender shapes human consciousness and determines the social, economic, political, and cultural organization of human society throughout history. Students who enter into women's studies will thus be exposed to the historical and contemporary issues of gender. We are committed to providing a setting for students to develop critical thinking and writing skills, the ability to analyze material, the use of abstract thinking, and oral presentations. These are skills that will serve the students well in their personal professional and social lives.
