It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rev. Caesar Caviglia on Friday, July 26. He was 84. Rev. Caviglia helped found the CSN Henderson campus and was fundamental in convincing the Nevada Legislature to approve the 80-acre campus. He was a dedicated supporter and friend to the college. In fact, CSN held classes at his parish during the college’s early years. In addition, he also taught and served on the college’s advisory board. The C building at the Henderson campus is named in his honor. A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ely.
