SMS Terms & Conditions

The College of Southern Nevada may provide you with an opportunity to opt in to receive text messages on your wireless telephone. By opting in, you consent to receive autodialed text messages, including Short Message Service (SMS) messages, to the telephone number(s) you provided. You also accept and agree to be bound by these SMS Terms and Conditions, and any other applicable terms related to the use of CSN’s services. We strongly urge you to view the college’s website privacy statement in its entirety.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

CSN may deliver college-related text messages to you. Some text messages that will be sent are transactional, meaning that you will not be able to opt-out of these text messages. The two types of text messages that you will not be able to opt-out from are appointment reminders for appointments booked with you and updates from the CoyoteQ queue that you join regarding your place in line. These text messages will be sent from phone numbers different from the one from which you will receive marketing messages.

Other text messages that you may be sent are intended to provide you with important information such as announcements from the Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Counseling, or Advising departments and other college or student-related business information including upcoming events and deadlines. Additionally, text messages may include offers from athletics, the campus bookstore, and other university service providers. You will be able to opt-out of receiving these text messages at any point in time.

MESSAGE FREQUENCY

The number of text messages that you receive will vary depending on the number of CSN text messaging programs for which you opt-in to receive messages.

COST

Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile service carrier’s pricing plan to determine the charges for sending and receiving text messages.

SUPPORTED CARRIERS

This text messaging program may not be available on all wireless carriers. The program is currently available for AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile® USA, Metro PCS, U.S. Cellular among others. Supported carriers may change without notice. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

HOW TO OPT OUT

You can opt-out from future messages at any time by texting STOP to (888) 601-6851 from your mobile phone in response to any message you receive from the college.

If you request to opt-out from future messages, you will be sent a one-time opt-out confirmation text message.
