CSN's Athletic Department offers 4 different internships for COM/JOUR students:

BASEBALL PLAY-BY-PLAY BROADCASTER

(3 CREDIT INTERNSHIP, 150 HOURS, 1 OPENINGS, UNPAID)

Starts: TBD Ends: TBD 12-15 hrs./wk (approx.)

The intern will provide play-by-play of the action going on in the field and will work jointly with the color commentator to provide an informative, quality radio broadcast of the game. Researching information on both teams before the broadcast is required in order to provide a base knowledge of both teams to listeners.

Interviews of coaches and/or players may be required as well. For more information contact Sports

BASEBALL COLOR COMMENTATOR

(3 CREDIT INTERNSHIP, 150 HOURS, 1 OPENING, UNPAID)

Starts: TBD Ends: TBD 12-15 hrs./wk (approx.)

The intern will assist the play-by-play broadcaster by providing color commentary of the baseball game during the radio broadcast. Researching information on both teams before the broadcast is required in order to provide a base knowledge of both teams to listeners. Interviews of coaches and/or players may be required as well.

The intern will use the public address system to provide fans with a welcome, starting lineups, inning totals, score, and any other announcements that game-day personnel require to be read over the PA. Researching information on both teams before the game is required in order to have a base knowledge of both teams.

PR/MARKETING INTERN

(3 CREDIT INTERNSHIP, 50 HOURS, UNPAID)

The Las Vegas Legends is a Professional Indoor Soccer team that has been extremely successful in its first year and will start its new season in September. They have taken first in their division, and fell short by one in the semi finals of the National Championship. Intern duties may include: Journalism, Marketing, PR, Video/Photography, Sales, Business, Social Media.
