Academic Honors Policy
Policy Purpose
The College of Southern Nevada supports and recognizes student achievement. An Academic Honors List identifies and recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence. In addition to being identified as an honoree, a notation "Academic Honors" will post to the student's transcript for the qualified semester.
Policy Statement
To be eligible for Academic Honors, a student must:
- Complete at least 6 credits during the eligible semester with grades on the ABCDF scale.
- Courses must be 100 level or above.
- Semester grade point average and correlating designation:
- 3.3 to 3.59 "Honor's List"
- 3.6 to 3.99 "Dean's List"
- 4.0 "President's List"

The CSN Registrar shall have primary responsibility for administration and questions regarding the policy should be directed to that office
Disclaimer
The president has the discretion to suspend or rescind all or any part of this policy or related procedure(s). The president shall notify the appropriate CSN personnel, including the Executive Sponsor and shared governance leaders, of the suspension or rescission.
