Tuition Refund Policy
Policy Purpose
To establish and communicate the College of Southern Nevada’s requirements and procedures for the refund of registration fees, nonresident tuition, course fees, and other applicable student charges in accordance with policies approved by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents. The policy is intended to ensure refunds are administered consistently, equitably, and in compliance with applicable NSHE, federal financial aid, and veterans’ education requirements.
Policy
The Board of Regents has approved the refund policies of each college and university. The policy and procedure applicable to CSN are provided in the NSHE Procedures and Guidelines Manual, Chapter 7: Fees and Tuition.
Board-approved exceptions to refund deadlines are provided in the NSHE Board of Regents Handbook, Title 4, Chapter 17: Fees and Expenses.

The president has the discretion to suspend or rescind all or any part of this policy or related procedure(s). The president shall notify the appropriate CSN personnel, including the Executive Sponsor and shared governance leaders, of the suspension or rescission.
