Our Aviation Technology Program has two track options: professional pilot or flight operations. No previous flying or aviation experience is necessary to enroll. Aviation students are provided with exceptional classroom instruction from experienced professionals in the aviation industry.

Why Study Aviation Technology at CSN?

Graduates from the pilot track earn an FAA Private Pilot Certificate, FAA Instrument Rating, and FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate. The operations track prepares graduates to enter aviation, airport, and airline industries. Careers for graduates include pilot, flight attendant, and flight operations specialist, among others.

Degrees and Certificates

Aviation Technology - Cabin Service: AAS

The program provides the application of concepts pertaining to passenger service operations for domestic and international flights.  The program prepares students to enter the employment market as Cabin Service Personnel with a managerial perspective.

Aviation Technology - Flight Operations: AAS

The program provides the application of concepts pertaining to airport, aircraft, and airline operations for domestic and international flights. The program will prepare students to enter the employment market as Flight Crew Members, Flight Operations Specialists, Crew Scheduler, Flight Follower, Customer Service Representative, or Assistant Flight Dispatcher.

Aviation Technology - Professional Pilot: AAS

The Aviation Technology Professional Pilot program is designed specifically for students who have a desire to work as professional pilots. The program includes ground instruction and in-flight pilot training. The program will prepare students to enter the employment market as professional pilots.

Private Pilot - Certificate

This program builds the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills necessary for an FAA Private Pilot Certificate for personal transportation. Students will be prepared for entry-level positions providing support in the commercial aviation industry.
