Medical Assisting Program

The Medical Assisting (MA) Program trains students to work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers in offices, clinics, hospitals and other facilities. Students learn both administrative and clinical duties. Students who complete the coursework through our CAAHEP-accredited program are eligible to take the national certification exam and earn the credential of certified medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants.

NOTE: This is a limited entry program.  Students must attend a health programs orientation and meet with a health programs advisor for additional counseling prior to application.

Graduates can choose from a wide variety of career options, including clinical medical assistant, billing clerk or lab assistant.
