The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) cultivates excellence in faculty teaching and learning through enriching professional growth and development opportunities that accelerate student success.
Goals
- Support the institutional mission, strategic plans, priorities, and goals.
- Continuous faculty development in service to student achievement.
- Recognize, develop, and implement evidence-based practices that enhance teaching effectiveness and promotes transformative learning.
- Focus on researching teaching practices that serve the needs of all CSN students, including adult (andragogy) and self-directed (heutagogy) learners.
- Develop faculty proficiency with instructional technology that fosters academic excellence.
- Holistic approach to faculty development that supports their variable needs.
- Offer career and leadership development for part-time and full-time faculty.
- Collaborate with industry partners to promote inclusivity and a culture of excellence that meets the workforce needs of the community.
