If you are a student who needs a prerequisite waiver and you took the required course elsewhere, please email the following information to the department chair or department administrative assistant:Your nameYour student ID numberThe course you wish to takeThe semester you wish to take the courseAn electronic copy of your unofficial transcript showing the grade you received in the prerequisite course.Please allow 2 business days for the waiver to be filed. Prerequisite waivers are only good for a single semester, so you may need to file the request again if you choose to retake the course in a future semester. If you completed the prerequisite course at another NSHE school (e.g. UNLV, UNR, NSC, etc.), you may have to file a prerequisite waiver request even if you have submitted your transcripts to the registrar's office.
