If you are a student who needs a prerequisite waiver and you took the required course elsewhere, please email the following information to the department chair or department administrative assistant:
- Your name
- Your student ID number
- The course you wish to take
- The semester you wish to take the course
- An electronic copy of your unofficial transcript showing the grade you received in the prerequisite course.
Please allow 2 business days for the waiver to be filed. Prerequisite waivers are only good for a single semester, so you may need to file the request again if you choose to retake the course in a future semester. If you completed the prerequisite course at another NSHE school (e.g. UNLV, UNR, NSC, etc.), you may have to file a prerequisite waiver request even if you have submitted your transcripts to the registrar's office.
