The Cardiorespiratory Sciences (CRS) Program trains students in the care, management, and life-support of individuals who are experiencing cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.

Why Study Cardiorespiratory Sciences at CSN?

A Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy is available.

Students earning a degree are eligible to apply for credentials from the American Heart Association, Cardiovascular Credentialing International, and the National Board for Respiratory Care. The bachelor’s degree is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC).

Graduates can look forward to careers as respiratory care practitioners (RCPs), registered respiratory therapists (RRTs), and cardiac technicians in hospitals, nursing facilities, and educational settings in addition to sales and management roles.

NOTE: CRS is a limited entry program. Students must attend a health programs orientation and meet with a health programs advisor for additional counseling prior to application.
