Medical Assisting Program
Request More Information

The Medical Assisting (MA) Program trains students to work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and other facilities.

Why Study Medical Assisting at CSN?

Students learn both administrative and clinical duties through a variety of instructional methods including in-person, online, and hands-on instruction.

Students who complete the coursework through our CAAHEP-accredited program are eligible to take the national certification exam and earn the credential of Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Alternatively, graduates of the CSN Medical Assisting program are prepared for and qualify to sit for the CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT), or RMA (AMT) exams. It is an expectation that MA program graduates will challenge a certification exam within 1 year of graduation.

Graduates can choose from a wide variety of career options, including clinical medical assistant (back office), medical office assistant (front office/reception), billing clerk, lab assistant, and others. Some graduates choose to continue their education with a great entry-level knowledge of the field and numerous new skills that aid in and support their growth into higher-level medical professionals.

Come join us and see if the medical field is right for you!

Limited Entry Program

NOTE: The Medical Assisting Program is a limited entry program. Students must attend a health programs orientation and meet with a health programs advisor for additional counseling prior to application.
