Art Galleries
The mission of the CSN Art Galleries is educational. National and regional exhibitions that represent a broad range of viewpoints are actively sought and promoted. The galleries’ educational mission is realized through the sponsorship of a variety of exhibitions that provide the student population as well as the community at large with opportunities to interact with art and artists. Activities such as lectures and workshops provide forums that allow the audience to gain a greater understanding of the art they view and the motivations behind it. Exhibits are designed to offer exposure to various individual artistic methodologies, materials, media, genres, and techniques. The opportunity to view artworks in a gallery setting creates a forum, which allows the student and public to gain a greater understanding of the art they view and the motivations behind it.

Level Up Galleries
Level Up Galleries have been developed at the College of Southern Nevada to bring the highest quality fine art from the traditional art gallery to locations on CSN’s campuses where student, faculty, staff and the college community gather. The name “Level Up” indicates the location of this initiative (campus second and/or third floor locations), references College wide student success initiatives such as Achieving the Dream, and ties into contemporary video game nomenclature, specifically those synonymous with advancement, attainment, enlightenment and student success.
Charleston Campus, Second Floor, E Building
The Charleston Campus second floor E Building, was chosen as the first of what is now a College wide program that brings artwork by CSN students, faculty, staff, and the college community back to where these individuals live, learn and work. In its third year, Level Up Galleries expanded to other College locations including the Henderson Campus C Building and the North Las Vegas Campus H Building.
This exhibition features three CSN artists. Joshua Levin is a Professor of Human Behavior, and Patricia Vázquez is a Professor of English. Daniel Ogletree is an Adjunct Faculty from CSN’s Fine Art Department / Art & Art History Program. These artists were chosen based on the quality of their work, their dedication to their students, and the ability of their artwork to stand up to this unique gallery space.
Henderson Campus, Second Floor, C Building
The Henderson Level Up Galleries features three CSN artists (one Full-Time Academic Faculty, one Administrative Faculty, and one Adjunct Faculty) from its Fine Art Department / Art & Art History Program. Ceramic sculptures are by CSN Professor of Fine Arts and the head of CSN’s Ceramic Program, Robin Stark. Paintings are by Jeff Fulmer, CSN's Art Gallery Coordinator, and mixed media assemblage artworks are by Art & Art History Program Adjunct Faculty, Manfred O'hare.
North Las Vegas Campus, Second Floor, H Building
This location, North Las Vegas second floor Horn Building, was chosen as a crucial “bridge” between the Performing Arts Center, Fine Arts Gallery, Fine Arts Department and the rest of the NLV Campus. It is part of a future envisioned “Art Walk” connecting fine arts, with applied arts, culinary arts, and the greater community through projects like Clark County’s ZAP10! public art project on Cheyenne Avenue. By using art, we hope to transform one of the ugliest spots to one of the most inviting and engaging.
This exhibition features two CSN artists. A large mural, "Rich Soil", and prints are by Anne M. Hoff, CSN Professor of Fine Arts and the head of CSN’s Printmaking Program. Drawings and mixed media work are by Suzanne Acosta, a long time Adjunct Faculty and most recent full time hire in CSN’s Fine Art Department / Art & Art History Program.
