Performing Arts Center
Where the Arts Make a Difference!
Welcome to the CSN Performing Arts Center, where we have an ongoing mission to support the arts—working together with the Department of Fine Arts as well as the local community to bring theater, music, dance and art productions to life. One of the main ways we accomplish the mission is by partnering with state and local organizations, community theaters, local dance studios and other performance artists to produce special events for our community throughout the year.
Our facilities boast state-of-the-art lighting and acoustics housed in a recently renovated theater featuring comfortable seating, free parking and the city’s most reasonable ticket prices. We’ve even been called “the best kept secret in Las Vegas,” something we’re extremely proud of.
We invite you to discover and celebrate the arts over and over again, and see for yourself what all the buzz is about.

Renting the Performing Arts Center
Are you looking for an affordable place for your next event?
Why not come to the best and most affordable theatre in town? The CSN Performing Arts Center has been serving the Performing Arts Department and campus organizations of the college, as well as the community, since 1995.
The Center is available for rental to touring groups and professional and non-profit organizations for a variety of productions, lectures and conferences. Over 700 events take place in the center each year, including dance and music concerts, plays, pageants, recitals, meetings and seminars. Our professional staff is always available to help make your next event a successful one.
The CSN Performing Arts Center is comprised of two venues — the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre and the BackStage Theatre.
The Nicholas J. Horn Theatre is the perfect venue for concerts, plays, recitals and many other events. It is a 524-seat proscenium theatre and includes a complete rigging system and an ample, flexible stage area. It has been touted as the "best acoustical theatre" in town, and it features state-of-the-art equipment and technical services.
The BackStage Theatre is a 100-seat theatre space, featuring a flat-floor stage area with flexible seating that can accommodate various configurations.
The main lobby contains two sections that easily accommodate displays and tables. Food may be served in the lobby. The area contains limited bench seating, as well as restrooms, drinking fountains and a vending machine area. The PAC Management Office is located in the lobby.
The box office is available to outside users who pay for the box office staff. Tickets for your event in either theatre can be pre-printed for a nominal fee, even if you choose not to rent the box office.
Two separate rooms have 14 make-up mirrors and include sinks, restrooms and showers.
Equity Dressing Rooms
The two equity rooms each contain one make-up mirror, sofa, restroom and shower.
The Green Room is located off stage left.
The NSHE and College Child Protection Policies must be reviewed and implemented by all renters who use the facility for a program/activity for children, or if under their direction, children are brought to the facility to watch a performance.
