9/13/20259/11 Remembrance - Day of Service & BioblitzWorking in groups you’ll help keep our park clean for the community to enjoy! After the cleanup you can join a special "BioBlitz" to help track wildlife at the park. No prior experience is necessary — we’ll provide all the tools and guidance needed.RSVP
9/20/2025Wetlands: Hands On! (W.H.O.)Wetlands: Hands On! (WHO) is a monthly community service program that meets at different locations throughout Wetlands Park to work on improvement projects.

Kicking off our stewardship season, we will be cleaning up litter around the future Pelican Point Trailhead near Old Silver Bowl Park as part of International Coastal Cleanup Day. Turn north on Wiesner Way off Galleria Drive to get to the site.

The WHO program gives participants an opportunity to learn about the Wetlands, explore new areas of the Park, and contribute to the restoration and improvement of the environment.

Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

9/25/2025Angel Park Cleanup + Tree PlantingWorking in groups, you'll be provided tools and equipment to backfill the new trees at Angel Park, followed by a park cleanup with multiple activities! No prior experience necessary — we'll provide all the tools and guidance needed.RSVP
9/26/2025Toy Story - Henderson Symphony OrchestraWelcoming and assisting guests, managing various event needs such as ushering, waste management, guest services, and box office support.RSVP
9/27/2025Sprinkle Dash-Color RunExperience an explosion of color at the Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run in Henderson. We need your help making this event a success. Sign up to throw color, hand out cupcakes, or run our kids activities on the grass. We can't wait to see you there.RSVP
9/27/2025National Public Lands Day Cleanup at Freedom ParkFrom 8am to 10am, you’ll be provided tools to collect trash around Freedom Park. After, enjoy an afternoon of tabling and a press conference with representatives about the importance of public lands and access for all Nevadans.RSVP

This event commemorates the memory of One October, and we invite you to run or walk in support of the Las Vegas community. 10/6/2025Craig Ranch Regional Park Native Habitat MaintenanceVolunteers will work in teams to support seasonal garden needs, which may include pruning, weeding, planting, and seed harvesting. All training, gloves, and tools will be provided. No prior experience is necessary!RSVP
10/11/2025Asian Lantern FestivalPre-Event Setup Shift (Day Before Event): 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Help us with early preparations such as setting up tents, tables, signage, and more.

Morning Setup Shift (Event Day): 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Support us in getting everything ready before the event begins.

Event Support Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (midnight). Evening shift volunteers must be 18 years or older. Assist with crowd control, parking assistance, guest services, vendor support, performer coordination, and cleanup.

How to Access Nevada Promise Virtual Engagement Events


GENERAL INFORMATION
Some Nevada Promise Events are held online using the Microsoft (MS) Teams Application. To access MS Teams, you must properly download the MS Teams application.

ENROLLED STUDENTS
As a CSN student, you have access to a number of digital collaboration tools and one main tool is Office 365 where your CSN Outlook Email is located.

  1. Follow the instructions below, or WATCH THIS VIDEO ON HOW TO SET UP CSN EMAIL & DOWNLOAD MS TEAMS.
  2. Once in your Email, locate the App Launcher at the top left, next to the word Outlook.
  3. Select MS Teams  and download.
  4. When you register to attend a Nevada Promise Event, you will be sent an MS Teams link to use to go to the event online on the date and time registered.

If you have difficulty downloading MS Teams, please email us at Contact Us so we can assist you. We recommend you download the app at least 24 hours in advance of the event.
