The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program prepares students to become competent, safe and ethical physical therapist assistants. PTAs work under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a variety of healthcare settings to help patients improve mobility and relieve the pain caused by injury or pathology.

Once students complete the associate of applied science degree, pass the licensure exam and meet all other requirements of licensure, they will have the opportunity to work as a PTA in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, nursing homes/extended care facilities, outpatient clinics and home health.
